Hello Mr Snake — the Resident Montpellier

Nonchalantly the resident Montpellier snake basks in the sun, as I come out the door and down the steps he knows I am there, well far away still some 10 meters. I look at him from a distance trying to make out the markings in order to find out what kind of snake he is. Montpelliers are not dangerous to humans — their teeth are at the back of their mouths.
